SHARE 2024
Summer can be the hungriest time of the year, Let’s Change That!
For hungry kids, the final bell of the school year signifies the loss of access to some of their most reliable sources of food – school breakfasts and lunches served daily. This summer, as families face inflation and high gas prices, their situation will be especially critical. For the 4th year, Helping Hands is launching our SHARE SUMMER 2024.
Summer is the time of year when most charities see the least amount of donations too. Yet, hunger and essential needs don’t go away. According to the 2023 Summer Meals Site Finder, the closest location where local students can get free breakfast and lunch is 11.5 miles away in Plainfield. Many of our students are latch key and many families do not have vehicles. If you’d like to HELP PROVIDE MEALS And RESOURCES THIS SUMMER, please see our Family-to-Family link here https://helpinghandsnj.weebly.com/share-summer-2023.html
